The week of Halloween is a great time to get out and see some haunted houses in Denver. The crowds are lighter on the weekdays, but still busy enough that the energy inside the houses is high. Thursday will be busy, but not so busy that you’ll have to wait in line for a really long time. So, take our advice, get out there on a weekday and have fun.
The Denver Zombie Crawl www.eyeheartbrains.com was held on Saturday at Skyline Park. The world record of gathering of zombies was shattered. The previous record stood at 4200, The Denver Zombie Crawl estimates attendance at 7300, awaiting certificaiton. Two Denver Haunted Houses, the 13th Floor and Asylum (getscared.com) sponsored this year’s crawl.
The 13th Floor Haunted House was named the Scariest Haunted House in Colorado by MTV.com The 13th Floor will go up against 16 other haunted houses in the nation for the title of Scariest Haunted House in America!
For all you haunted house freaks in Denver, it seems that there will be plenty of choices this year. Haunted Denver can confirm several new haunts opening this year, and unfortunately some favorites that will not.
Friday night in Denver, what could be better than seeing the second attempted remake of a classic slasher film, Halloween. This movie definitely has a different feel than Zombie’s first Halloween remake. It’s grittier, nastier, gorier than the last installment.
